Ten years of integrated sustainability, with industrial investments, reduced environmental impact, and a growing focus on people's well-being. This is the picture emerging from Ponti's 2025 Impact Report, which celebrates a decade since its first sustainability reporting, confirming a path begun in 2015 and gradually transformed into a structured responsible growth strategy.

The company, Italy's leading vinegar and vegetable preserves market, generated €116,4 million in economic value in 2025, distributing over €115,3 million along the supply chain, among employees, suppliers, local communities, and stakeholders. This model aims to combine industrial competitiveness, transparency, and social and environmental sustainability.

The document also highlights the progress made in recent years on the ESG front: Ponti became a Benefit Corporation in 2021, obtained B Corp certification in 2023, and UNI/PdR 125/2022 Gender Equality certification in 2024. Among the most notable results is the elimination of the gender pay gap, confirmed in 2025, along with a female presence equal to 42% of the company's workforce.

"Sustainability has never been a communication exercise, but a way of understanding corporate culture," emphasized Vice President Lara Ponti, highlighting how transparency, accountability, and measurability have become key levers for creating lasting value and positive impacts on the local area and society.

On the industrial front, the group has invested approximately €9,6 million in 2025 to expand production, digitalize, and improve technological efficiency. Among the key initiatives are the launch of a new department dedicated to the production of fresh apple cider and the increase in wine storage capacity at the Ghemme plant.

Environmental results are also significant. Ponti has reduced waste by 12,3% and plastic packaging by 7,5%, resulting in savings of over 92 tons. The energy intensity of its production processes has also improved, with 100% of its electricity coming from renewable or self-generated sources. The photovoltaic systems in Ghemme and Anagni have generated over 880 MWh of energy, avoiding the emission of 388 tons of CO₂.

The company also continues to strengthen the local dimension of its supply chain: over 50% of its food raw materials are purchased from Italian suppliers located within 300 kilometers of its production facilities, with the aim of ensuring traceability, reducing logistical impact, and supporting local economies.

At the same time, the group has launched a scientific path for the reduction of climate-altering emissions, developed together with the University of Milan and Spinlife, a spin-off of the University of Padua, with the aim of achieving Net Zero by 2040. The strategy is part of the progressive adaptation to the European CSRD and ESRS standards for sustainability reporting.

In 2025, Ponti employed 206 people, with 96% of them on permanent contracts. On the organizational front, 38 smart working agreements have been activated, while the process toward ISO 45001 certification for occupational health and safety continues, scheduled for 2026.
