For 2026, Sabelli continues to strengthen its positioning, focusing on a targeted expansion of its product range and an increasingly structured international strategy. Angelo Galeati, the company's CEO, explains, outlining a vision that integrates food service, private labels, and foreign markets.

"In 2026, we'll continue to develop a series of assortments dedicated to food service, particularly the entire frozen food line," says Galeati. "It's a lever that's allowing us to gradually conquer even the most remote areas of the foreign market."

Alongside food service, Sabelli remains a key partner for large-scale retail trade in private labels. The company stands out for its broad and comprehensive offering, capable of meeting a wide range of needs.

"Today, Sabelli is a key partner for large-scale retail private labels," Galeati emphasizes. "We're able to offer a complete assortment: from pizza mozzarella to traditional mozzarella, all the way to stracchino and robiola, all now also available in a lactose-free line."

A particularly comprehensive offering in 2026, allowing the company to promptly respond to the needs of both retail and food service, both in Italy and abroad. Trade fairs remain a key opportunity for networking and development.

"These are important opportunities because they allow us to meet established partners and potential customers," Galeati explains. "On the retail side, we complete our offering, while in the international food service sector, frozen foods allow us to further deepen our market presence."

Consolidated Europe, new challenges outside the EU

On the international front, Sabelli maintains a strong focus on Europe, which is now a mature and consolidated market. "France is currently the country that performs best for us," Galeati emphasizes. "It is the leading importer of European and Italian cheeses, followed by Germany and the UK."

In addition to the main EU markets, the company also serves Northern Europe—including Sweden and the Netherlands—and is significantly developing its presence in Switzerland. At the same time, Sabelli is looking beyond Europe's borders.

"Last year, we began investing in the American market by participating in trade shows," Galeati explains. "The tariff issue slowed things down, but sampling has begun, and the goal is to attract new customers this year."

The Far East also remains strategic, despite the complexities of trade barriers. "China has started, albeit with high tariffs," explains the CEO. "Japan, on the other hand, is working smoothly with frozen products. Overall, we're seeing great interest in Made in Italy products."

Goals for 2026

Looking to the short term, Sabelli aims to further strengthen its international presence. "In 2026, we want to acquire new export clients, begin concrete work with America, and especially consolidate our presence in China," says Galeati.

In terms of supply, some products remain strategic for sustaining growth. "Mozzarella for pizza continues to be essential for the global food service industry," Galeati concludes. "At the same time, interest in our burrata is growing: we arrived later abroad than in Italy, where we are the leader, but the quality is appreciated and we are finding great satisfaction."
