In the context of the 2023-2025 industrial plan, Surgital has placed the sustainability at the heart of its strategies, allocating over €20 million to modernize the systems and facilities at its Lavezzola plant. This investment aims to increase production capacity in an environmentally sustainable manner, optimizing energy efficiency and reducing consumption thanks to a new engine for the cogeneration plant with a capacity of 4,6 MW/hour. The company has also introduced machine learning software to optimize energy management, further contributing to sustainability.
In parallel, Surgital has completed the installation of a photovoltaic system capable of reaching a power of 2,4 MW/hour, aiming for energy self-sufficiency at the Lavezzola plant. This demonstrates the company's concrete commitment to reducing environmental impact and improving operational performance through the adoption of innovative technologies.
Surgital's commitment to sustainability also extends to social responsability, with a corporate welfare plan that includes health and wellness services, pension funds, reimbursements for education and senior care, travel, shopping vouchers, and gasoline. In 2023, the company distributed over €290.000 in corporate welfare to its employees, using a platform that promotes the circular economy and engages with local businesses, improving employee well-being and the sustainable growth of the local community.
