Tesco boosts beauty offering in e-commerce

Tesco has recently strengthened its online beauty offering, significantly expanding the range available to customers.

From November 1, 2024, the British retailer has made a wider selection of beauty brands available online, including household names such as Maybelline, L'Oreal Paris and Essie. This allows customers to order a variety of products directly from the website or pick them up in store.

This move is part of a broader strategy to strengthen the e-commerce channel: Tesco recently doubled the size of its online marketplace, which now includes over 20.000 items across categories including beauty, gardening, DIY and more. This platform allows third-party sellers to offer their products directly to customers, increasing the variety available.

The UK's leading retailer is also investing in retail media strategies to promote beauty products. These include video ads and other forms of digital marketing to reach a wider audience and enhance the shopping experience, among other things.

This evolution, in fact, not only improves the shopping experience tout court, but positions Tesco as a key player in the online beauty market, responding to a growing demand from consumers who are looking for beauty products in a convenient and accessible way. With these initiatives, the brand aims to strengthen its competitiveness in the retail sector and meet the needs of modern customers.
