May 13th: the day of Latin America

The key moment will be May 13th, entirely dedicated to the Latin American market. A day that represents much more than a simple conference: it is a point of contact between the two worlds that are now most connected, Europe and Latin America.

Entre los protagonists destaca Nahuel Pianarosa, commercial director of Grupo Vierci, who will offer an in-depth reading on the evolution of a highly competitive country from an economic point of view. A market which, thanks to the solidity of its foundations and the ease of access to energy resources, is positioned as one of the main gateways to entry to Mercosur, recently protagonist of an agreement with the European Union. Furthermore, the recent acquisition of the Tata Group in Uruguay reflects even more the international position of the group, which is present in different countries of Latin America and Europe, such as Spain and Portugal.

More of the great protagonists will be Francisco de la Roza, CEO of Supermercados Peruanos, here will explain one of the most evolved shop models in the region. A multi-format group that starts from the traditional supermarket to cash & carry and discount, aiming to represent approximately 50% of the mass retail market in the country.

It will complete the Latin American panorama Sebastian Ruiz Abella, commercial manager of the Isimo group (part of Grupo Olímpica), who will analyze the positioning in a market such as Colombian, among the most competitive in the world in the discount segment.

The dialogue with the Italian industry and the Lidl model

The day will also be enriched with the presence of important Italian companies, called to share their industrial models, export strategies and international development. A moment of concrete dialogue between production and distribution.

The intervention of him will also be of great importance Gianfranco Marc Brunetti, Chief Customer Officer of Lidl Italia, will give the audience an in-depth reading of the Lidl model, today one of the great references in Europe for his efficiency, positioning and ability to interpret to the consumer.

An intense tour, from 9am to 1pm, which will include a visit to some of the most representative points of the twentieth century, with a focus on three fundamental pillars:

  • el modelo de frescos, unique in the world for its depth, quality and completeness;
  • the brand of the distributor (private label), analyzed across the entire spectrum, from the discount store to the most advanced models;
  • la economic efficiency of the sales point.

In the most desperate moments, the analysis of the model of Esselunga, considered a true European benchmark in terms of rentability per square meter. A report that will be guided directly by Andrea Meneghini, CEO of Food Retail Italia, coming to the store manager of the point of sale visited, to delve into the factors that led to this model at the end.

Dos mundos, una dirección
