TuttoFood has emerged as one of Europe’s most significant trade fairs for the agri-food sector. Ahead of the next edition, scheduled for 11–14 May 2026 in Milan, Riccardo Caravita, Brand Manager of TuttoFood Milano, outlines the fair’s international strategy and the road ahead.
Q. TuttoFood 2026 will take place in May 2026. Are preparations already under way?
A. They are indeed. In fact, preparations have already begun. Together with our partner Anuga, we are working intensively to lay the foundations for a global event on par with the world’s most influential trade fairs.
Q. You mentioned Anuga as a strategic partner. How does this alliance strengthen TuttoFood?
A. Anuga is not a casual reference. We are part of a wider group of trade fairs under its umbrella: from Mumbai in India and Shenzhen in China, to São Paulo in Brazil, Bangkok with Thaifex, Bogotá, and the new Anuga Select Iberica in Madrid (formerly Gourmets). It is a unique network that shares contacts, expertise and know-how, allowing us to act as a genuine global partner.
Q. What value does this international network bring to exhibitors?
A. The global food industry should view TuttoFood as a borderless platform for trade. Our exhibitors—more than 4,000 in 2025, with strong growth prospects ahead—can rely on a worldwide partner to support their expansion into multiple markets. TuttoFood has always been recognised as an Italian fair with international reach, but in 2026 our global dimension will be even stronger. Thanks to this alliance, we are already operating as an international fair with Milan as our European headquarters.
Q. What role will TuttoFood 2026 play within Europe’s trade fair landscape?
A. TuttoFood Milano will be Europe’s central hub for mass-market retail and food import-export in 2026. In even years the spotlight will be on Milan, while in odd years it will shift to our partners.
Q. Looking to the near term, what are the next milestones?
A. From 4 to 8 October we will be in Cologne, together with Anuga, to consolidate preparations for 2026. Beyond that, our presence will continue across the wider Anuga network—from Mumbai to Shenzhen, Bangkok to Bogotá—with dedicated events and conferences.
Q. At Anuga Cologne you will also host a session on the Italian market. Can you preview the themes?
A. Certainly. On 6 October at 11 a.m. in the Koelnmesse boulevard, alongside Cibus Link and NielsenIQ Italia, we will present a conference on the Italian market: how to approach it, the latest consumption trends, and the structure of the country’s mass-market retail. It will be a valuable opportunity for international producers and businesses looking to expand into Italy.
As Caravita emphasises, TuttoFood Milano is preparing for a truly global edition in 2026, reinforced by an international network of partner events. For exhibitors, the fair offers access to thousands of qualified buyers, leading retail operators and importers from across the world—a unique platform for building commercial relationships and seizing new business opportunities.
