VOG Products is expanding its offering in the fruit-based processed product segment with the launch of new Marlene and Val Venosta branded apple purées, available in convenient pouches designed for on-the-go consumption. The initiative stems from a collaboration with the VOG and VIP Consortia and aims to further enhance South Tyrol's apple production through innovative, high-value products.
The new products are available in four varieties: apple puree, apple, banana, and strawberry, apple and berries, and apple and apricot. Each recipe is offered under both brands, creating a total range of eight products designed to meet the needs of consumers increasingly oriented towards convenient, healthy, and easily portable snacks.
The apples used come exclusively from Alto Adige, a region boasting a centuries-old tradition of fruit cultivation and a production system based on collaboration between agricultural cooperatives. The VOG and VIP Consortia bring together over 6.000 families of apple growers who practice integrated and organic production.
The goal of the operation is to strengthen the link between local raw materials, certified quality, and product innovation, bringing to market a proposal capable of enhancing the origin of the fruit and the reputation of South Tyrolean brands.
"These products demonstrate concretely how strategic it is for us to enhance and integrate strong brands like Marlene and Val Venosta, transforming them into additional value for our members," said Hannes Werth, Director of VOG Products. "Thanks to the synergies between the brands and our technological expertise, we are able to offer innovative, top-quality products."
Headquartered in Laives, VOG Products is a leading European fruit processor for the food and beverage industry. Each year, the company processes between 300.000 and 400.000 tons of fruit from integrated and organic farming, transforming it into juices, purees, frozen fruit, solid-packs, and FMCG products.
The organization, controlled by VOG, VIP, and 17 fruit cooperatives, exports approximately 90% of its production to around fifty countries. With the launch of its new purées in pouches, VOG Products further strengthens its strategy of promoting the South Tyrolean apple supply chain, focusing on convenience, quality, and brand recognition on the international market.
