Intermarché is expanding its private label offering with approximately 100 new products, gradually arriving in stores between September and October. The launch is part of a strategy to increase its own brands' share of the brand's revenue within three years, leveraging exclusive products to strengthen customer loyalty.
The new products focus on three areas: nutrition, taste, and environmental sustainability. Of the approximately 100 products announced, 39 are exclusive innovations. Since the beginning of the year, Intermarché has already introduced over 260 new own-brand products.
On the food front, Chabrior offers two recipes for lemon, oat, and raspberry cookies with a Nutri-Score A. They are produced in Brittany at the Filet Bleu factory, using French wheat flour and palm oil-free. The expansion also extends to personal hygiene: the Ok Clean range is enriched with a depilatory cream, an aloe vera hand cleanser, and an almond deodorant for sensitive skin.
To differentiate its assortment, Intermarché is also introducing chocolate-covered dried fruit under the Les Créations brand, Capitaine Cook fish preserves with new flavor combinations, and Pâturages Greek-style yogurt with dragon fruit and passion fruit. These products are designed to cater to a variety of consumption occasions, from aperitifs to snacks.
The Je réduis line is expanding to include dishwasher and floor cleaning sheets. According to data reported by the retailer, these two new products reduce CO₂ emissions by 49% and 55%, respectively. In the food sector, Intermarché is introducing two bars made with ChoViva, a sunflower seed-based alternative to chocolate, for which it claims a 66% reduction in emissions. The plant-based offering also includes a Monique Ranou wrap and a new Chabrior product inspired by a familiar dish.
"With 100 new products in two months, we're confirming our ability to offer exclusive, accessible, and contemporary products," says Cédric Doumenc, head of private label. Intermarché's goal is to make its ranges a key factor in choosing stores, as well as an increasingly significant component of sales.
