Despar Nord reopens its store in the Campo Romano shopping center on Via Lago Trasimeno in Schio, following a renovation that reorganized the space and introduced the new Eurospar brand. The supermarket, inaugurated this morning in the presence of local officials, customers, and suppliers, occupies 1.670 square meters and employs 46 people, three of whom are new hires.

The renovation involved all departments, with a new layout designed to streamline the shopping experience. The fruit and vegetable section welcomes customers at the entrance, followed by the bakery and pizzeria, delicatessen, fishmonger, and served meat counter. The dairy and frozen food areas were also renovated, while the central area houses packaged foods and non-food items. Identification graphics and illuminated signs distinguish the departments, flanked by monitors displaying special offers and information.

A key aspect of the renovation is the product range and the relationship with the Vicenza agri-food supply chain. The store offers local and local products, including through "Sapori del Territorio," the interregional project through which Despar Nord promotes Northeastern produce and promotes transparent and traceable supply chains. In Veneto, the initiative currently includes 1.170 micro-local and regional products, a figure that reflects the entire project in the region.

The Schio supermarket stocks baked goods from the Gasparini and Trentin bakeries, specialties from Salumificio San Domenico, rice and flour from Fattoria del Garzador, and products from Apicoltura Guoli. These partnerships offer local businesses a sales channel in large-scale retail outlets and expand the presence of Vicenza specialties on the shelves.

The renovation also included the systems, with solutions designed to reduce energy consumption. The lighting is entirely LED, and the food refrigeration systems are equipped with doors to limit cold air loss. A system that recovers and reuses the heat generated by the refrigerators was also installed to produce domestic hot water.

"When a company chooses to invest in a store in our city, it demonstrates confidence in the region and its prospects," Mayor Cristina Marigo emphasized, emphasizing the employment value of reopening and the opportunities for local producers. Collaboration between retailers and small businesses, she noted, can support the city's economy and make products linked to Vicenza's agri-food culture more accessible.

"We are more than satisfied with the results of this renovation," said Gianfranco Santonastaso, area manager for Despar Nord, explaining that the work allowed us to redesign spaces and departments and strengthen our offerings in the Schio area.

The store will maintain its previous hours: Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sundays, 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The reopening is part of the Aspiag Service Despar network, which manages 250 directly operated stores and supplies 304 affiliated stores in the areas where it operates, with over 9.280 employees.
