Action is strengthening its presence in the Italian market with an expansion plan that will see the opening of six new stores on the same day. Starting Saturday, June 27, the non-food discount chain will simultaneously open new stores in Bari, Cologne (Brescia), Cuneo, Como, Ladispoli (Rome), and Gioia Tauro (Reggio Calabria), bringing its total nationwide to 242 stores.

The operation involves five regions—Lombardy, Piedmont, Lazio, Puglia, and Calabria—and confirms the brand's growth in Italy, where Action has been present for almost five years and continues to invest in expanding its sales network.

The six new openings will also significantly contribute to employment, with the creation of 116 new jobs across the affected areas.

"We are extremely proud to announce six openings in a single day, almost five years after our debut in Italy. This milestone demonstrates how much the Action formula is appreciated throughout the country, from North to South," comments Maurizio Oprandi, General Manager of Action Italia. "The enthusiasm with which our customers welcome us motivates us to bring our stores ever closer to them."

The brand's product offering is based on a selection of approximately 6.000 items divided into 14 product categories, from DIY to household items, from toys to gardening, with over 150 new products introduced every week. More than two-thirds of the offering is priced under €2.

The company also continues to develop its sustainability journey. Initiatives include eliminating gas connections in stores, exclusively using LED lighting, and certified sourcing criteria for key raw materials. Ninety-nine percent of the cotton in Action and generic products comes from the Better Cotton program, while all wood is FSC or PEFC certified, and the cocoa used in Action-branded products is Fairtrade certified.

Specifically, the new stores will be located on Via Peschiera in Cologne, on Via Pasquale Paoli in Como, in the Gallerie del Territorio shopping center in Cuneo, along the Aurelia state road in Ladispoli, in the Mongolfiera Japigia shopping center in Bari, and on Via Nazionale in Gioia Tauro.

With these openings, Action further consolidates its presence in Italy, continuing a development plan that aims to bring the brand closer to a growing number of consumers through new investments and widespread expansion throughout the peninsula.
