Healtion, the new Italian healthy food group promoted by Agreen Capital, is born. It brings together six historic healthy food brands under a single industrial and strategic direction with the stated goal of building a European-level reference center capable of combining growth, product innovation, and sustainability throughout the supply chain.
The project brings together established companies such as Probios, Baule Volante, La Finestra sul Cielo, ViviBio, Fior di Loto, and Zer%, creating an integrated platform that oversees the entire value chain, from raw material selection to production and multi-channel distribution, in a market increasingly oriented toward functional products with a high level of service.
Headquartered in Calenzano, the group employs approximately 100 people and operates through three operational headquarters, two production sites, and two logistics hubs. This organization is capable of efficiently and coordinatedly managing ambient, fresh, and frozen products, and responding quickly to the needs of consumers who are increasingly attentive to the nutritional quality and sustainability of their food choices.
In 2025, Healtion achieved a turnover of 120 million euros, a result also supported by the completion of four acquisitions that helped strengthen the industrial structure, expand the commercial presence and integrate skills along the supply chain, while marking the transition from a construction phase to one of consolidation and development.
The 2026-2030 business plan targets revenues of €300 million, to be achieved through a complex mix of organic growth, additional M&A transactions consistent with the group's strategic positioning, and a strong acceleration in international markets, with a particular focus on Europe and the DACH region, which are considered priorities for business development.
The strategy is based on three pillars—nutrition, well-being, and sustainability—and is part of a broader plan to spread a culture of conscious eating, in which food becomes a lever for people's well-being and, at the same time, a tool for generating positive impacts on the environment and society.
In this context, innovation is a key element of the business model, with investments in research and development amounting to at least 3% of turnover and a capacity to launch more than 60 new products per year, developed along key market trends—from free-from to plant-based, to clean label solutions and rich-in functional products—with the aim of anticipating emerging consumer needs.
The group has also launched an open innovation program through Healtion Ventures, a corporate venture capital platform dedicated to supporting food tech startups and projects, with an initial investment in Vegeatal, a company developing plant-based, gluten-free, and certified organic alternatives to dairy and meat products.
From an industrial perspective, Healtion adopts an integrated model that allows direct control of all stages of the supply chain, ensuring traceability, certified quality, and operational efficiency. These elements are playing an increasingly central role both in its relationships with retailers and in its positioning towards the end consumer.
Multichannel sales represent another strategic asset, with a presence that extends from large-scale retail trade to specialized channels, including Ho.Re.Ca. and online, thus capturing the diverse purchasing and consumption patterns that characterize the contemporary market.
The group's positioning fits into a particularly favorable context, with the European health food market estimated to exceed $234 billion in 2025 and expected to grow to approximately $490 billion by 2033, supported by annual growth rates above 10% and an even more marked acceleration in the free-from segment, which represents Healtion's core business.
The Group's ESG journey is also contributing to strengthening its profile, with the achievement of B Corp certification in 2025, which recognizes the company's ability to generate economic, social, and environmental value, as well as UNI/PdR 125 gender equality certification, elements that are increasingly relevant in the dialogue with stakeholders and investors.
With this operation, Healtion positions itself as an industrial and brand platform capable of combining production skills, innovation, and distribution capabilities, with the ambition of consolidating its leadership in Italy and establishing itself as a major European player in the healthy nutrition sector.
