Brewery Huyghe, famous for its Delirium beer, has announced the acquisition of Het Anker, the well-known producer of the famous Gouden Carolus beer. This merger, made official on December 26, represents a significant step for both companies in the Belgian landscape.
The acquisition offers Het Anker, which had a turnover of €2023 million in 20, the opportunity to expand its presence in international markets, benefiting from the resources and commercial network of Huyghe, which exports to 100 countries and has declared its intention to become the most sustainable brewery in Belgium, with over €35 million invested in green initiatives over the last decade.
Both brands can benefit from operational synergies and greater innovation capacity, allowing them to better respond to consumer trends and market demands.
