The tea and herbal tea market is growing and shelf competition is intensifying, with brands accelerating innovation to capture new consumption opportunities throughout the year. This is the context for Cupper's 2026 innovation, which expands its cold brew infusion line with the launch of the Ananas & Lime blend, designed to better cater to the summer season.

The segment continues to show positive signs, with growth in both value and volume in the first quarter, confirming the category's vitality and growing interest in alternatives to traditional beverages. Against this backdrop, Cupper outperforms its competitors, strengthening its position in the organic and Fairtrade segments. The new product was created to meet the needs of consumers increasingly oriented toward natural products, with no added sugar and distinctive flavor profiles. Ananas & Lime offers a tropical flavor, built on a base of lemongrass, hibiscus, and licorice root, enhanced with notes of pineapple and lime that help differentiate the offering from the classic citrus flavors on the shelves.

The goal is twofold: first, to avoid overlap with existing products, such as Mint & Lemon and Lemon, Ginger & Turmeric; second, to expand the purchasing base by attracting new consumers seeking refreshing, light beverages consistent with a healthy lifestyle. From a production standpoint, the product maintains the brand's distinctive features: 100% organic and natural ingredients, no added sugars, compostable filters, and recyclable packaging. This combination of features reinforces the premium and sustainable positioning, in line with the expectations of both consumers and modern retailers.

The method of use is designed to simplify consumption: infusion directly in cold water in just a few minutes, with the option to customize the experience by adding ice or varying the flavor intensity. This convenience responds to the need for on-demand consumption, which is increasingly popular especially during the warmer months. On the distribution front, the launch follows a multi-channel strategy, with planned presence in large-scale retail outlets, specialized organic retailers, and e-commerce, confirming the desire to cover all key purchasing touchpoints.

With this range expansion, Cupper consolidates its position within the category, helping to sustain sales even during periods when hot tea consumption tends to naturally slow. Product innovation thus becomes a strategic lever to ensure product rotation continuity and strengthen shelf presence year-round. Founded in the United Kingdom in the 1980s, Cupper is now the leading global Fairtrade tea brand and a major player in the organic segment in Europe. Part of the Ecotone group and present in Italy through Abafoods, the brand continues to focus on quality, sustainability, and an ethical supply chain as growth drivers.
