Coop closes 2025 with solid financial results and begins a new governance phase. The large-scale retail cooperative system has approved its 2025 financial statements, confirming its financial solidity and announcing a major change at the helm of Coop Italia, with the presidency handed over from Maura Latini to Domenico Brisigotti. At the same time, the Board of Directors was also renewed, marking the beginning of a new phase aimed at strengthening the organization in an increasingly competitive and rapidly evolving market.

The financial statements confirm the group's size. In 2025, total revenue reached €17 billion, of which over €15,1 billion was generated by retail operations alone. The Coop network comprises 2.237 stores across 18 Italian regions and continues to be a major player in the national retail sector.

Employment and social indicators also remain stable. Coop employs approximately 58.000 workers, with a female presence of over 71% and nearly 46% of management positions held by women. The membership base remains at 6,2 million members belonging to 67 consumer cooperatives. On the commercial front, market share stands at 10,9%, a slight decrease of 0,1 percentage points compared to 2024, but sufficient to confirm Coop's position among the top three Italian large-scale retail chains.

Coop's branded products also continue to strengthen, with the company now focusing on optimizing its assortment after recent investments. They account for more than 40% of sales volumes, and branded product revenue has surpassed €3,5 billion. Coop Voce also performed well. The brand's telephone service exceeded 2,3 million users, up 3,4% from the previous year, generating revenue of approximately €161 million, up 2,6%.

On the governance front, Domenico Brisigotti, Coop Italia's general manager since 2023, assumes the presidency, taking over from Maura Latini, who concludes a sixteen-year career within the consortium, culminating in her three-year presidency. The cooperative movement thanked the manager for her contribution to the organization's growth.

"I welcome this appointment with commitment and a sense of responsibility, aware that I face a challenging goal. To best respond to the difficulties of a time marked by significant disruption, we will need to change the rules of the game. Coop Italia must not endure change, but manage and govern it," stated the new president Domenico Brisigotti.

Ancc-Coop President Ernesto Dalle Rive also emphasized the importance of this new phase: "The appointment of the new president of Coop Italia is an act undertaken with conviction and in unity by all member cooperatives. A new phase now begins in which Coop must strive to be an authoritative and attractive hub in the market reorganization process."
