The Board of Directors of Diageo has announced the appointment of Sir Dave Lewis like New Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director starting from January 1, 2026The decision marks a new chapter for the British group, a world leader in the spirits sector and owner of brands such as Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Tanqueray and Baileys.
Lewis, a manager with proven experience, brings with him a long career in the world of consumer goods. From From 2014 to 2020 he was Group CEO of Tesco, leading the transformation of the British retail giant. Before that he spent almost thirty years at Unilever, holding senior roles in the Executive Committee and distinguishing himself for his skills in marketing and business development.
Since 2022 he has held the position of Chairman of Haleon, a leading multinational in the health and wellness sector, and is a member of the board of directors of PepsiCo. He will abandon the presidency of Haleon on December 31, 2025 to fully dedicate himself to his new role at Diageo.
