TuttoFood Milano has started preparing for its next edition, which will be celebrated from 11 to 14 May 2026, and is doing so with a clear priority: Latin America. At a time when orange tensions with North America — traditionally the main destiny of Italian food exports — are pushing the industry to diversify markets, the Milanese fair is positioned as a platform of strategic connection between Europe and the Latin American continent.
The organization has decided to dedicate a previous space to Latin America, both in size and in depth. Currently if More than 150 exhibitors from Latam are expected to participate, although the figure could increase significantly in the next few months. He is an ambitious man program to attract Latin American buyers, in collaboration with the Italian Government, to bring to Milan tens of decision makers from the main distribution channels of the region.
One of the pilares of the 2026 edition will be a great international conference dedicated to Latin American retail, which will count with the presence of the retailers with the greatest growth in the region, together with important European retailers who will share their operational and innovation models. El objetivo es generar un real exchange space between all regions, creating a bridge of knowledge between retailers applicable to short and medium-sized areas.
During the holiday, there will also be a celebration event organized with NielsenIQ, leaders of the main Italian categories and directors of the major Latin American categories. The event will include a moment of experiential networking in which Italian producers will cook their own specialties so that buyers can directly evaluate the organoleptic quality of the products.
The program will continue with a technical tour to the main branches of Italian and European retailers, accompanied by sales directors who will explain in first person the strategies of layout, pricing, category management and development of the own brand. To prepare for this journey, a specialized course on the Italian retail market will be given by Andrea Meneghini, international analyst and director of GDO News, the most influential magazine of the Italian mass retail market.
The trip will include one as well brainstorming session between Latin American leaders, who will be able to compare ideas received during the visits and evaluate which ones are applicable in your own markets immediately, which ones require adaptations and which ones are still challenged by cultural reasons or economic accessibility.
TuttoFood 2026 is taking shape as an integral and previous project: not only oriented towards displaying Latin American products before European buyers, but also towards forming, connecting and creating an ecosystem of bilateral knowledge between Italian producers, European retailers and Latin American decision makers. A unique initiative of its kind, specifically conceived to strengthen commercial laces between Italy and Latin America and open up new business opportunities in both ways.
