The new Pam Superstore in San Mauro Torinese opened today, completely renovated and set to become the benchmark for the future evolution of the group's Italian network. This is not a simple restyling, but the introduction of a new format that aims to redefine the shopping experience, redesigning the space, assortment, and organization of the store to create a more efficient and contemporary experience.
The project is part of a €20 million investment plan that the Pam Group has earmarked for Piedmont, chosen as a pilot region for the brand's new positioning. The project will also involve additional openings in the region throughout 2026, including Moncalieri Strada Torino and a second store in San Mauro Torinese on Corso Casale, outlining a targeted and progressive development strategy.
The new store, located inside the Panorama Shopping Center on Strada Settimo Torinese, features an optimized floor space of approximately 3.700 square meters, designed to improve usability without sacrificing the depth of the product range. The goal is to make the purchasing process simpler, more intuitive, and faster, in response to consumers who are increasingly time-conscious and practical.
A key element of the new format is the return of the tagline "Più a Meno," which encapsulates the promise of an offering that consistently combines quality and affordability. In this sense, the model aims to transcend traditional promotional logic, offering a positioning based on competitive, stable prices over time, with approximately 5.000 branded products at reduced prices and over 3.000 Pam-branded products at constant prices.
Particular attention is paid to the fresh and ultra-fresh departments, which represent one of the cornerstones of the offering, along with industrial-brand products. Strengthening the offering are the in-house production departments, from bakery to delicatessen, to ready-to-cook meat and fish solutions, designed to meet the growing demand for convenience without sacrificing quality.
Completing the picture are operational and service features that further cement the new positioning: the store will be open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will feature a total of 20 checkouts, divided between 10 traditional and 10 self-checkouts, aimed at speeding up flow and reducing wait times. The offering also includes structured serviced departments—fishmonger, butcher, delicatessen, bakery, and pastry shop—and additional services such as a refreshment area, pet-friendly access, and meal vouchers. On the price front, in addition to the structural improvements already announced, the store also introduces a selection of fresh and ultra-fresh products starting at €0,99, further strengthening the promise of everyday convenience.
The project also has a direct impact on the local community, with new employment opportunities, especially in the fresh produce departments and services. The company emphasizes its focus on young people, who will find opportunities for integration and professional growth within the network.
Alongside the internal renovation, the plan also includes a redevelopment of the external area, part of a three-year development program that includes improvements to the parking lots and surrounding shopping malls, with the aim of making the entire commercial area more attractive.
With this opening, Pam is taking a strategic step in its network transformation, offering a more efficient, accessible supermarket model that reflects evolving purchasing behavior.
"This project marks a strategic step in the evolution of our network in Italy: a new supermarket model that is more efficient, accessible, and aligned with changing purchasing behaviors," said Renato Mazzucco, emphasizing how Piedmont represents the starting point of a broader plan aimed at creating value for consumers and the region.
