After difficult years marked by the pandemic and avian influenza, the French Label Rouge poultry and egg sector is returning to growth. According to data released by industry organizations, 2025 marks a reversal of the trend after three years dominated by imports and declining domestic production. The Label Rouge brand, a guarantee of superior quality and controlled supply chains, is seeing a recovery in volumes for both poultry and eggs, supported by growing consumer confidence and greater health stability.

Label Rouge poultry sales increased by approximately 6% in the first eight months of the year, with renewed demand in large-scale retail channels and out-of-home dining. Certified eggs are also showing positive signs, particularly those from free-range farms.

Industry players are now aiming to recover pre-crisis levels of 2019 by revitalizing local supply chains and strengthening ties with retailers. The strategy includes investments in communicating brand value, consumer transparency, and sustainable farming. After years of uncertainty, the French poultry industry is regaining confidence and ambition.
