During the general meeting of shareholders held last week in Massy-Palaiseau, Carrefour CEO Alexandre Bompard outlined the group's next strategic moves, assuring that "Carrefour will be very active in the coming months".

Despite a rather relaxed atmosphere and without major shocks, the meeting represented a key moment to reiterate the ambitions of the large-scale retail giant. Bompard confirmed that the company is ready to strengthen its positioning in various markets, through targeted investments, innovations in digital and further rationalization of costs. Among the priorities: the development of the "discount" model with the expansion of the Supeco brand, the strengthening of the e-commerce channel and new alliances with strategic suppliers. The objective is twofold: to accelerate growth and maintain competitiveness in a context of strong pressure on prices.

Furthermore, Bompard highlighted Carrefour's commitment to sustainability, with actions aimed at reducing emissions and promoting healthier and more accessible nutrition. "The transformation of the group is underway," said the CEO, "and will be visible in the coming months, in line with our vision of a more modern, efficient and responsible retail."
