French group Casino has announced a major international expansion through a strategic partnership with H&S Invest Holding, a Moroccan conglomerate active in key sectors such as logistics, industry and media. The agreement includes the opening of over 210 Franprix and Monoprix stores in Morocco within the next ten years.
CEO Philippe Palazzi stressed that the operation is part of the strategy of growth abroad through franchising: “Thanks to the strength of our brands and our knowledge of proximity retail, we will be able to adapt to the dynamic Moroccan market quickly and efficiently”.
The first stores will open in 2026 and will offer a digital shopping experience, with quality food products, daily services and fast food formulas. The network of stores will be developed taking into account the new habits of local consumers.
Moncef Belkhayat, Chairman of H&S Invest Holding, said the initiative will create over 1.000 direct and indirect jobs by 2030, helping to diversify the group's retail offering in Morocco. Today, Casino is already present in over 30 countries with around 472 franchised stores.
