Dia, a leader in local distribution, has launched a project to accredit the professional skills of its employees in collaboration with OMAT, a body recognized by the Community of Madrid. The initiative allows for the official certification of the skills acquired in the field by workers, even in the absence of formal qualifications, thus strengthening the internal talent and competitiveness of the company. During the first phase, 71% of registered employees obtained full accreditation, while 14% achieved partial recognition. The certifications are divided into two levels: “Sales Activity” (level 2) and “Commercial Sales Management” (level 3). A second phase is currently underway for a new group of workers.
“We want to strengthen our continuous training strategy to enhance internal talent,” said César Vázquez, Human Resources Director of Dia Spain. Gloria Polo of OMAT also highlighted the importance of the initiative: “These processes improve the employability and competitiveness of companies.” The workers involved expressed satisfaction with the opportunity received. “I felt proud and recognized for my path,” said María Amparo Frutos Márquez, store manager. A recognition that values the experience and motivates towards new goals.
