After the openings in Milan and Bergamo, Popeyes – the famous American chain specializing in Louisiana-style fried chicken – continues its Italian expansion with the opening of a new restaurant at the Maximo Shopping Center in Rome. This is the first location in Lazio and the first in a shopping center, a choice that the brand considers strategic to increase visibility among a wider and more varied audience.
The new restaurant occupies 320 square meters, has 86 seats inside and 93 outside, and is open every day from 11 am to 23 pm. In addition to on-site consumption, there will also be a takeaway service and, by the end of the month, home delivery via Glovo. 30 employees have been hired to manage the store, from the artisanal preparation of the chicken - breaded by hand and fried on the spot - to the service in the dining room.
The official opening is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20th at 12:100. The first XNUMX customers will receive the famous The Chicken Sandwich for free, while the entire day will be accompanied by promotional initiatives and moments of entertainment.
“Rome represents an important stage in the development of our brand in Italy,” said Davide Gionfriddo, General Manager of Popeyes Italia. “In less than six months we are already present in three cities, we are aiming for 50 openings and over 1.000 hires within three years.”
Popeyes, born in 1972 in Louisiana, today has over 4.800 restaurants around the world and offers a recipe for chicken marinated for 12 hours in Cajun spices, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, which recalls the authentic gastronomic spirit of New Orleans.
