The Swiss group Idak, active in the frozen food sector, has announced the acquisition of Sorrento Flavours and Traditions, a Campania company specializing in pizza-based snacks. The company, founded over twenty years ago by Roberto Savarese together with Antonino Esposito and Luigi Apreda, is now present on both the Italian and international markets.
With this operation, Idak aims to strengthen its offering in the segment of frozen bakery products, especially pizza-based products, a rapidly expanding category. “Sorrento Sapori e Tradizioni represents a strategic addition to our group,” said Christof Lehmann, CEO of Idak Food Group. “We will expand our product portfolio and respond more effectively to growing global demand.” The company’s operational headquarters will remain in Eboli (Sa) and founder Roberto Savarese will continue to hold the role of CEO, maintaining a stake in the group’s capital.
