MD opened its second store in Ferrara, located in Viale Volano 191. This new store, owned by the discount chain which boasts approximately 800 stores throughout Italy, will be managed by 19 new employees, all residents of Ferrara and its province, with an average age of 36.
Today's inauguration marks the opening of the third store in the province of Ferrara and the twenty-seventh in Emilia-RomagnaThe Ferrara store stands out for its food offering, which focuses on local products and specialties from Emilia and Romagna, such as garlic salami, squacquerone, Romagna ricotta, casatella and dried sausage. These products, the result of the tradition of local producers, are included in the private label offer of MD Letters from Italy®, dedicated exclusively to typical DOP, DOCG, and IGP products.
The store pays great attention to well-being with the line I Live Better and greener food styles, as demonstrated by the range of BIO products in the dedicated line. The store's wine shop offers a selection of excellent wines at affordable prices with the Enotrium® line. The selection of served counters, which includes delicatessen and butcher's, is particularly rich and high-level, flanked by a counter for golden bread and the fruit and vegetable department, considered a flagship of MD stores.
With this new opening, MD strengthens its Buona Spesa philosophy in Ferrara, which has guided the company for 30 years. This philosophy is based on principles such as convenience, attention to well-being, promotion of Made in Italy, which represents over 90% of the products offered, and environmental and social sustainability.
