Morrisons has announced the appointment of Emma Pacey as its new commercial director for general merchandise, strengthening its team with a highly experienced profile in UK retail. Pacey joins from Asda, where she spent more than 18 years in senior roles including e-commerce transformation director and online retail director.
Her career in the industry began at The Original Factory Shop as a buyer, before moving on to Asda with solid career growth. “Emma combines deep commercial expertise with a real passion for the customer. We are thrilled to welcome her to the team as we continue to grow our business,” Morrisons said on LinkedIn.
The appointment comes just weeks after another important transition between the two GDO giants: Asda has in fact chosen Rachel Eyre, former marketing director of Morrisons, as its new chief customer officer. Eyre replaces David Hills, who resigned in March after a year and a half.
