Unes, a brand of the Finiper Canova Group, strengthens its environmental commitment with two new initiatives in the name of sustainability: the introduction of the digital receipt and the collaboration with COREPLA for the RecoPet project. The latter, already present in Iper La grande i, now also arrives in Unes stores with the installation of eco-compactors that allow customers to dispose of PET bottles by accumulating points convertible into discounts or sustainable prizes. Every 100 bottles you get a 5 euro voucher, while 800 bottles can be transformed into a mousepad made of recycled material. "With RecoPet, consumers become protagonists of the circular economy", said Antonio Protopapa, COREPLA's Operations Director. At the same time, Unes has digitalized receipts, reducing the use of paper: approximately 3,5 million are issued every week, for a total of over 875 km. Customers can now consult receipts directly from the Unes app, with the option of downloading them in PDF or requesting a printout if necessary. “We believe in positive and participatory change,” said Michela Riva, ESG Manager of the Group. The two initiatives are part of the “Environment and Future” pillar of Finiper Canova’s Sustainability Plan, which aims to promote virtuous and responsible behaviors also in everyday life.
