Sainsbury's has expanded its campaign Aldi Price Match, adding more than 100 new products to its lineup priced at the discounter's rival. The British chain now offers around 800 products priced at Aldi, more than any other retailer, the company said.
New items included include summer products such as houmous, tzatziki, ice cubes and some types of wine, as well as everyday items such as shower gel, cotton wool and feminine hygiene products.
Richard Crampton, commercial director for fresh and convenience, commented: “At a time when household costs are rising, we are working tirelessly to keep prices affordable during the weekly shop.” The initiative complements the range Nectar Prices, with over 9.000 discounted products for loyalty card holders.
