Taylor Farms and Foodiverse have completed the acquisition of two ready-to-eat salad manufacturing facilities formerly owned by Bonduelle's fresh division in Germany. This strategic move is intended to strengthen Foodiverse's position in the German market and drive innovation in the fresh, healthy food sector.
Foodiverse, through its European division, will manage all activities of the combined companies. The Thurländer Salate production plant, which specializes in private labels, is a leading producer of ready-to-eat salads. From April 1, the three German production sites will operate under the Greenfresh brand.
“With this strategic acquisition, our goal is to improve the fresh salad industry and provide our customers with innovative, healthy products,” said Bruce Taylor, president and CEO of Taylor Farms.
Joaquín Ballester, president of Foodiverse, added: “The integration of these two plants into our group reinforces our commitment to growth in the healthy food sector.”
The acquisition will bring the Foodiverse Group to a global workforce of 2.650 employees, nine production facilities and 2.700 hectares of managed farmland. Taylor Farms is a North American leader in the production of salads and fresh foods, while Foodiverse is a multinational group specializing in fresh and healthy foods, with presences in Spain, Germany, Switzerland and Italy.
The partnership between Taylor Farms and Foodiverse aims to provide high-quality, nutritious products that promote a healthy lifestyle. Workforce stability will be ensured and a gradual onboarding process will be implemented with the support of an international Foodiverse team.
Foodiverse controls the entire production chain, from seed to the consumer's table, ensuring traceability and food safety. The group offers a wide range of products, distributed in Europe with its own brands and private labels.
